As you stare ahead at your schedule, your tasks, your problems, your questions, life can feel so complicated. As I read through 1 Corinthians Chapter 7, Paul was reiterating the importance of simplicity. While the people of Corinth needed to hear this, I believe it is even more relevant in our complicated world of 2018.

What is complicating your life right now? Bring it to the front of your mind.
Your marriage? Your next move? A recent betrayal? Too much to get done? Busy schedule? Sickness?

"I do want to point out, friends, that time is of the essence. There is no time to waste, so don't complicate your lives unnecessarily. Keep it simple -- in marriage, grief, joy, whatever. Even in ordinary things- your daily routines of shopping a so on. Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world thrusts on you. This world as you see it is on its way out." - 1 Corinthians 7:29-31 MSG

What is the world giving you, pushing on you? More credit cards? Debt? Doubt? Comparison? Lack? Shame?

My prayer over you today is that you would encounter 'Heavenly Simplicity.' Where the reality of your Heavenly Father and your eternal salvation allows your mind to ZOOM OUT on your circumstances and see what matters.
When we meditate on Heaven with thanksgiving in our heart, there is a perspective shift of simplicity. Let's live this week with 'Heavenly Simplicity,' knowing that the battle is won and we are loved and seen by our Heavenly Father.

"....All I want is for you to be able to develop a way of life in which you can spend plenty of time together with the Master without a lot of distractions." 1 Corinthians 7:35 MSG

How can we live with more Heavenly Simplicity?
We have five ideas for you!

#1 Give your morning to God. Tithe your day and give God your best by spending time in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. Journal your morning thoughts to God, it's like "spiritual windshield wipers."

#2 Get out of Debt. We recommend Dave Ramsey's Finacial Peace University. Don't let the world teach you about your money, allow a man of God explains the importance of financial peace!

#3 Get more rest. Go to bed earlier and enjoy more physical rest.

#4 Say 'no' to activities that are not serving you, and who you are becoming. Learn more in our dream planning tutorials.
#5 Spend more time in God's word. We recommend the SOAP method for studying your bible you can learn more here.
